Tuesday

Today was a little more memorable than probably any other WOD that I've done.  "Murph" was one of the first WOD's Corey and I ever did.  We had no clue what we were doing when we started CrossFit or how much our lives would forever be changed.  We just thought it was another fitness program.  Obviously we were wrong.  It's an Elite Fitness Program changing people lives on a daily basis.

We went to the main site (http://www.crossfit.com/) and for that day it was a workout called "Murph", it was a 1 mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 Squats, 1 mile run.  There was no thought about it, we just went for it.  I don't remember precisely my 1st "Murph" time but it was close to an hour (56:00 or so).  There was a guy named Derrick who introduced CrossFit to Corey and then Corey introduced it to me, but Derrick saw us doing a WOD and he asked Corey which one we were doing and Corey told him.  His reaction I will never forget. "You guys are nuts for doing that being so new to CrossFit!"  He was right, but we didn't have a clue that scaling was an option or even how to scale it.  All in all, today was such a great workout that took me down memory lane.

Thanks Corey for passing along the Kool-Aid!
